Located on the upper floor of a two-story house in a private residential compound, this residence serves as an urban retreat for a professional couple. With panoramic windows facing a garden in the north, it offers an open view while maintaining privacy from the surrounding neighborhood. The design juxtaposes raw architectural structures with a playful interior, balancing an understated aesthetic with the homeowner's youthful energy.

The public areas are designed around the homeowner’s passions for figurine and art toy collecting, pastry baking, and golf. The living room doubles as a private museum, featuring a wall of built-in display cabinets that can be concealed behind wooden screen doors. This versatility allows the interior to shift between living and exhibition environments, reflecting the homeowner’s multifaceted nature as both a professional and an avid collector. The private areas, including the master bedroom suite and an archive room, provide spaces for concentration. Each room also incorporates dedicated displays for more personal collections.

A Living Collection:
Anchored by oversized display cabinets, the living room functions as a private museum where the homeowner's collectibles are exhibited for guests. The displays are periodically refreshed through the adjacent archive room, which serves as a back-of-house curatorial space for organizing the homeowner's growing collection.

Dining Room, Kitchen, and Fitness:
The dining room and the kitchen are centered around a large island where the homeowner can interact with guests while cooking or baking with oversized trays. Adjacent to the kitchen, a small space separated by a full-height sliding door is planned for meditation and golf-putting practice.

Master Bedroom Suite:
The master bedroom suite features clean lines and natural materials, including grasscloth wallcovering and a custom-designed artisanal reed mat headboard, while an integrated display showcase introduces unexpected pops of color from the homeowner’s personal collection.

Archive Room:
With its entrance tucked away, the archive room provides a contemplative space for organizing, preparing, and repairing the items awaiting display. A dedicated display wall also accommodates smaller collectibles and books, allowing the room to function as both a workspace and a gallery.

Design & Construction Coordination:
Thorough design and construction planning ensured seamless integration between the interior and the architecture, particularly in areas with exposed structures. Regular site visits from the early stages of construction minimized discrepancies, making the process both cost-effective and time-efficient.
